In a first for Australia, a new app allowing regional and remote customers to monitor and control their energy bills is now available.
The Horizon Power app lets customers see how, and when, they are using electricity. The app will help avoid bill shock as it estimates what their bill is likely to be at the end of that billing period.
Developed using feedback from customers, Managing Director Frank Tudor said the app gave people more control.
“If I’m using the app I can see how much electricity my house is using every hour and how much it’s costing me,” he said.
“This information is helping families manage household budgets and empowering them to make informed choices to reduce their power bills.
“Customers want choice and control over their energy use, and we continue to develop technology to enable this.”
Horizon Power is encouraging customers using the app to provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
To access the free app customers simply register for Horizon Power’s My Account and download the app from the Apple or Google Play store.
