Horizon Power is a proud supporter of local events and community organisations in regional and remote WA.
The company's Community Investment Program helps us support not-for-profit organisations and initiatives.
We do this through sponsorships and partnerships that strengthen communities by promoting the principles of safety, value and community — ideals that we’re passionate about.
Mid West Retail and Community Manager, Craig Deetlefs, was pleased to honour a special request from the Wiluna Town Bush Fire Brigade for lifesaving equipment, helping them fund an automated external defibrillator and oxygen delivery system.
The volunteer brigade is the only fire service in Wiluna and plays a vital role right throughout the year, responding to both small and large fires across the Shire of Wiluna.
Captain Wade Bloffwitch said the equipment would improve the safety of brigade members as well as the wider community.
“While we will hopefully never need to use this life-saving equipment, it brings comfort to our brigade members to know that we are able to help members of the community and also use this equipment should one of our own fall victim to sudden cardiac arrest,” he said.
“Without the generosity of Horizon Power the provision of this equipment would not be possible.”
While the funding we have for community investment is capped, we would love to hear from you about your community initiative or event.
