Horizon Power is pleased to announce the appointment of international renewable energy expert Terry Mohn to the position of General Manager Microgrid Developments.
Terry is a leading figure in the electric energy industry and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role, with over 30 years’ experience.
Terry will provide Horizon Power with strategic guidance in all parts of its microgrid operations, along with specific accountability for fast-tracking the development of the business’ microgrid capabilities in partnership with industry counterparts in Western Australia.
His experience incorporates roles as Executive Consultant of Open Access Technology International (OATI), Chief Executive Officer of General Microgrids, Vice President Innovation of BAE Systems ($40B US revenue), Chief Technology Strategist for the Sempra Energy Utilities ($10B US revenue) and board member of a number of start-ups, as well as consulting strategist for large infrastructure companies.
Terry’s expertise includes the integration of technology using smart grid, and he is an expert in microgrids having led the United Nations Foundation’s Sustainability for All microgrid working team.
Horizon Power’s Managing Director Frank Tudor said Terry’s appointment is a real coup for the organisation.
