State Government’s new Cost of Living Assistance (CoLA) payment for concession card holders comes into effect on 1 October 2012.
CoLA replaces the current Supply Charge Rebate and will increase the base yearly rebate from $147 to $200 per annum.
If you already receive the Supply Charge Rebate you do not need to take any action – your CoLA payment will automatically be credited to your account from 1 October 2012.
The annual CoLA payment is represented as a daily amount on your electricity bill and the number of days of the bill will determine the value of the allowance for that billing period.
