Power outage at Karratha Village Shopping Centre

Karratha Village Shopping Centre in Sharpe Avenue will be without power until later this afternoon.

Horizon Power Retail and Community Manager Michelle South said a power outage occurred at about 3.30 am today because of a failure of the ring main unit which services the shopping centre.

“With this type of fault it will take some time for us to be able to source the necessary parts and safely replace the unit,” Ms South said.

“As a result we expect to restore power to the centre later this afternoon.”

Ms South said the crews would work as quickly as possible to restore power safely.

“We are currently liaising the with centre’s management and contacting all businesses in the vicinity to explain the situation,” Ms South said.

“Customers wishing to submit a claim for loss or damage to property as a result of this outage can do so via our website at www.horizonpower.com.au

“We apologise to our customers for the inconvenience caused including people who may have wanted to go shopping at the Karratha Village Shopping Centre today.”
