Contractor and Tender Portals
Contractors
A contractor is required to use the portal to provide safety performance reporting on a monthly basis if:
- There is a contract for service and the scope of works involves work on or near (within the safe approach distance, refer to Field Instruction 2.17 – Safe Approach Distance) of Horizon Power electrical networks, or
- Construction projects where Horizon Power is identified as the Principal for work.
Principal is where a person (the principal) in the course of trade or business engages a contractor to carry out work for the principal.
Construction work is any work carried out in connection with Construction, alteration, conversion, fitting-out, commissioning, renovation, repair, maintenance, refurbishment, demolition, decommissioning or dismantling of a structure, or preparation of a building site.
